Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI)
Formerly the National Electrical Safety Foundation (NESF), the ESFI was established
in 1994 to promote electrical safety in the home, school, and workplace by building

continuing mission. The Foundation works closely with associations, certification
organizations, educators, government agencies, consumer interest groups, insurers,
unions, and manufacturers interested in or actively involved in promoting electrical

Electro-Federation Canada (EFC)

businesses in Canada. At the same time, the Federation's unique Council structure

Industry Data Exchange Association (IDEA)
IDEA was created to manage the development of systems, which foster
Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce), throughout the electro-industry. IDEA was jointly
founded in 1998 by the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), and
the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
IDEA is endorsed by the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association
(NEMRA), and the the Electro-Federation Canada.
Insulated Cable Engineers Association (ICEA)
The Insulated Cable Engineers Association (ICEA) is a professional organization
dedicated to developing cable standards for the electric power, control, and telecommunications
industries. Since 1925, the objective has been to ensure safe, economical, and efficient
cable systems utilizing proven state-of-the-art materials and concepts.
International Code Council (ICC)
The International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety
and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial
buildings, including homes and schools.

Lamprecyle.org is sponsored by the Lamp Section of the National Electrical Manufacturers
Association (NEMA) to encourage the recycling of spent mercury-containing lamps.

National Armored Cable Manufacturers Association (NACMA)
NACMA is a membership organization composed of companies manufacturing Type AC or
Type MC cables for use under the National Electrical Code. NACMA provides
information to installers, inspectors, engineers and owners in order to effectively
specify and install armored cables for use under the National Electrical Code (NFPA
70).
National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED)
National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), is the electrical distributors'
source for networking, education, and service. Since 1908, the National Association
of Electrical Distributors has helped electrical distributors grow, prosper, and
provide value-added service to their customers, suppliers, employees and the world
at large.
National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA)
National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), founded in 1901, is the leading
representative of a segment of the construction market comprised over 70,000 electrical
contracting firms. The industry employs over 650,000 electrical workers and produces
an annual volume of over $65 billion. NECA includes 118 U.S. chapters in addition
to others in countries around the world.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
NFPA is a worldwide leader in providing fire, electrical, and life safety to the
public. Established in 1896, the mission of the international, nonprofit, member
organization is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the
quality of life by developing and advocating scientifically based consensus codes
and standards, research, training, and education.
